Meet Dr. Sandhu, MD, FAAD
Board-Certified Dermatologist & Mohs Surgeon
Neil Sandhu, MD, FAAD is the founder and Medical Director at Annexus Dermatology & Aesthetics. A board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon practicing in Florida since 2012, Dr. Sandhu has extensive experience in all aspects of cosmetic, surgical, and medical dermatology for all skin types.
Dr. Sandhu began his medical career at the University of Wisconsin where he earned his Bachelor’s degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He then went to the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, graduating in the top 10% of his class. He was accepted into the dermatology program at the UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, where he was Chief Resident. He earned his Board Certification in Dermatology in 2012. Since graduation, he has been a Mohs Micrographic Surgeon in the Florida panhandle, and most recently in Central Florida. His expertise is in the detection and treatment of skin cancer. Dr. Sandhu has extensive experience in cosmetic procedures, including Botox/Dysport, filler injections, chemical peels, and photo rejuvenation. This allows him to help his patients look and feel their best.
Dr. Sandhu has authored multiple scientific articles. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and a Fellow in the American Society for Mohs Surgery. He is an associate professor of University of Central Florida Medical School and Nova Southeastern University School of Medicine. He is also a frequent medical guest on local TV shows. Dr Sandhu’s motto is “I treat all my patients like I would my own family.”
As a native from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Sandhu is an avid hockey and sports fan. He also enjoys spending his free time traveling, skiing, and visiting his family and friends in his hometown.
Meet Junie Tilus, DNP, FNP-C
Dermatology Nurse Practitioner
Junie has been practicing nursing for over 20 years. She is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with special interests in all aspects of Dermatology. She completed both, her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and Master’s of Science in Nursing, at South University in Savannah, Georgia. Her bachelor’s of science in nursing was completed at Herzing University in Orlando, Florida. She has an extensive nursing background and knowledge of all skin, hair and nail conditions and supports the care of all her patients through compassionate, quality care. She believes in developing strong relationships, in order to provide personalized care, tailored to meet each patient’s specific needs. Junie treats patients of all ages from newborn to adults. She is board certified under the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Junie is bilingual and fluent in Haitian Creole.
Meet Crystal Burks, FNP-C
Dermatology Nurse Practitioner
Crystal is a seasoned nursing professional with over 17 years of nursing experience in various settings, including emergency department, critical care, surgery, and specializing in dermatology. Mrs. Burks is trained in general and surgical dermatology, and has extensive experience in skin cancer detection, prevention, treatment, and the management of other conditions of the hair, skin, and nails. Board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in Chicago, Illinois, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Union Adventist University in Lincoln, Nebraska. Crystal treats patients of all ages from newborn babies to adults. Crystal is an associate member of the Florida Society of Dermatology PAs (FSDPA), an associate member of the Society of Dermatology PAs (SDPA), and a member of the Dermatology Nurses Association (DNA). She is a native of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In her free time, she treasures spending quality time with her husband and two young children.
Meet Matthew Schroeder, PA-C
Dermatology Physician Associate
With over 11 years of experience as a Physician Associate, Mr. Schroeder brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his practice. Specializing in dermatology, surgical procedures, and aesthetic treatments, he provides comprehensive care for patients aged 18 and up. Matthew is highly trained in diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin conditions, from common issues like acne and rashes to more complex dermatological concerns. His surgical expertise allows him to perform procedures with precision and care, ensuring optimal outcomes for each patient. Additionally, Matt has received aesthetic training, offering treatments that enhance natural beauty while maintaining a focus on overall skin health.
Meet Traci Zimmer, APRN-C
Dermatology Nurse Practitioner
Traci has been practicing nursing for over 25 years. She is a Board-Certified Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner with long term care for adults and geriatrics with special interests in Dermatology. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Maryville University and Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain College of Nursing. She has a nursing background and knowledge of skin, hair and nail conditions and is passionate about the care of geriatric patients. She is compassionate and provides quality care. She believes that it is important to develop strong long-lasting relationships with the patient and family members. It is very important to establish a plan of care for each individual patient. She takes pride in being able to provide mobile visits for those who are unable to get out. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Meet Dr. Mark Mathieson, MD

We are excited to introduce Dr. Mark Mathieson, Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, to our dermatology team! Dr. Mathieson is a highly skilled and experienced plastic surgeon with over 30 years of medical expertise. Board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, he has earned a reputation for his dedication to delivering exceptional results and compassionate care. Throughout his career, Dr. Mathieson has specialized in a wide range of plastic surgery procedures, including reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries, while also offering advanced dermatologic treatments. His extensive experience allows him to tailor his approach to each patient’s unique needs, ensuring the highest level of care, safety, and satisfaction. Whether performing intricate surgeries or providing expert dermatologic care, Dr. Mathieson remains committed to enhancing the lives and confidence of his patients.
